How to control your computer if the mouse and keyboard dont work?
Recently installed the guest additions of sun virtual box,it made my touch-pad uninstall so it stopped working, i them used numlock to move the pointer and installed the mouse or something like that but when i restarted the computer due to the numlock still on my keyboard stopped working and hence i couldn't even log in!(no the numlock doesn't unlock).The only way is to reboot my computer but that i have a lot of important stuff at stake.Is there any way i could control my computer perhaps from remote desktop or another usb mouse or LAN.I have a dell vostro 1015 with xp
I think, you are stuck inside the virtual box screen... Try using the "Right Ctrl button" to break the focus from the guest OS. If there is no right Ctrl button, try the right windows key or use some USB keyboard with normal 101 keys, for the time. 
If this did not work, try the following...
Just load a Hiren 11 CD or some other CD with Bootable OS (preferably tiny XP) during restart, to take your files.
IF Remote desktop is enabled in your PC, you can connect your friend's laptop PC to your PC thru a LAN cable and run 'MSTSC' and call your PC by its name.
Restart your laptop in Windows Safe mode and install the needed drivers - Press and hold F8, while laptop restarts.
Ask your brother for some help
